The Latest & Greatest Tools of the Marketing Trade

The sheer number and variety of marketing technology tools available today can make your head spin. That’s why we’re doing the detective work. Check back often as we break down which trending products and services are worth the hype.

On to this week’s martech tool spotlight…

The product:

StatCounter bills itself as a simpler, more user-friendly alternative to Google Analytics, providing real-time, detailed web data, so you can make better business decisions.

The WIIFM:

It allows you to track how your key metrics are performing over time by comparing page views, sessions, visitors and more. When you create an account for a free 30-day trial, you’ll receive a code snippet to insert on your website, so you can start receiving insights to better understand your visitors and why they’re not converting.

 Why we like it:

StatCounter makes analytics easy. The interface is user-friendly. You get a detailed view of each visitor and full visibility into their experience on your site — all in real time.

Plus, StatCounter recently announced a cool new feature called Session Replay. It records a user’s session on your website, so you can uncover some of the reasons why they might not be sticking around and what you can do to change that. You can also use it to ward off bots who pop in for extra short visits and skew your stats.

Give it a spin and let us know what you think.
