Summer workshop series helps keep NJ business owners at the top of their game

West Orange, NJ, May 2016 — Where can established businesses go for continuing education and support to advance their success? This summer, they’ll be heading to the West Orange Public Library.

Biz 2.0 is a free, nine-session workshop series focused on more advanced topics and challenges common to small businesses that are already running a proven operation. Hosted at the West Orange Public Library, 46 Mt. Pleasant Ave, West Orange, the series is the brainchild of Fahoury Ink Chief Creative Officer Lisa Fahoury, who also serves on the library’s Board of Trustees.

Says Fahoury, “In the digital age, libraries have fallen off the radar of small business owners as a powerful resource. The goal of the workshops is not only to deliver great content, but also to reintroduce local business owners to the valuable services and solutions available to them — all 100% free with a library card.”

Fahoury is joined in this endeavor by fellow West Orange business owner Arnie Amir of Growth Point Business Consulting. Amir helped assemble a stellar slate of speakers, and is also serving as a presenter himself. He says, “There are so many resources out there for businesses that are just getting started, but not much for established companies that face different challenges over the course of the business lifecycle. Biz 2.0 was envisioned as an avenue to help small, growing companies accelerate that growth, while also introducing them to the many useful resources offered by the West Orange Public Library.”

Kicking off on Thursday, May 19, the series offers small business owners an opportunity to network and learn about managing smart growth, making the most of available resources and putting new marketing and sales strategies to work.

Topics to be covered include the following:

  • Content marketing basics
  • Finding focus
  • LinkedIn essentials
  • Authority marketing
  • DIY video ideas
  • Growing your business: More than just increasing sales
